just mature for my 43 years :)

axle has a special place in my heart.
my 23 year old cousin blew his brains out listening to his welcome to the jungle stuff back 89.
they say the all night stress at the hospital may off set loose the embolism which killed my 53 year old mom the next day

thats what comes to mind when I think of GNR - besides the fact mating cats produce better "vocals" than axle does

I share a rehearsal space with a couple of guys who were runners (gofers) for that show. Get this...

The band was up here two days ago rehearsing, as this Vancouver show was to be the start of their official world tour. Axle didn't come up for any of the rehearsals, but planned to fly up in private jet sometime yesterday before the show.

As the show got closer yesterday, everyone started to get nervous and the promoter was wonderin' where he was. There were a round of phone calls to him at home in Anaheim. He was watching TV he said, and would be there soon. Again and again they called... with the same answer. Finally Axle called and said he was boarding his plane and would be on the way. This was very near the time when the openning band was set to go on. The number crunchers calculated the best case scenario in terms of his arrival, and.... it was going to be too late. The promoter cancelled the show and Axle Rose touched down in Seatle before returning home.

Lol, just saw Sand's link:

"A Guns N' Roses spokesman says poor weather made it impossible for the lead singer's plane to fly into Vancouver."

Total BS. Mighta been overcast, but there was no rain, no wind, no snow, no anything.... Just cloudy and quite warm. Other planes didn't seem to have a problem.

Hmmm... I heard on the radio that he didn't take off from the Los Angeles due to poor weather there. They didn't say anything about the weather in Vancouver or him landing in Seattle.. WTF?!

Btw Nash suffered Election Sign overload yet?! I HAVE!

Axle Rose is a classic examply of why Rock and Roll is no place to be if you don't really want to work.

Alot of tallent given to one of the biggest dipshits in the world.

Could be. :)

The way I heard the story was too funny. The manager is on the phone with Axle... for like the 10th time, trying to get him to get on that plane. He puts down the phone and shakes his head.

"Well?" everyone asks.

"He's watching the Simpsons".
