eeeeugh!!!  Do it in the CT, leave MA alone.

If they do it in the ma then the one trick ponies will wail like banshees... if they do it in the ct it will be a total waste of good planes cause they will screw the whole thing up with some allied vs axis waste of fm's ....

still say they need an early war area in the MA... carve out a forth of the pizza map and make it an early war only area... move the fields about 10-20% closer together in that area.   surround it with 50K mountain range to keep out the total losers.

GREAT idea. Would be fun for most of us and a tribute in our own way to the sailors and pilots of the USN and IJN who died that day.

You say that like it would be a bad thing.  I for one like the idea of torturing them, and hearing thier screams.

For ONE day?

Do it!

And remember, I am the living embodiment of the "one plane all the damn time" crowd  :)

We had a similar discussion in the CT forum.  Not a tribute, but a similar end result.

http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=68910&referrerid=3726

Here's the start of the thread;

Set-up Idea: Battle of the Turds!

I love planes. All planes, even crappy planes. Since Libya, I have developed a new respect for the 202 and have even been flying it in the MA. Despite its poor reputation, it’s really a very good performing plane plagued with skimpy guns. It got me thinking, however, wouldn’t it fun to put all of the planes with bad reputations and little MA use together in one scenario. What I am proposing is a scenario that includes aircraft that have most of the following characteristics: Little MA use, poor MA K/D, weak guns/little ammo, slow, & early war. The planes/GVs that I would suggest are:

Allied:

P-40B
Hurri I
Hurri IID
Spit I
IL-2
F4F-4 (on CVs only)
SBD (on CVs only)
Boston III
C-47

LTV-2 (on fleets only)
M-8
M-3

Axis:

109E
110C
C.202
A6M2 (on CVs only)
D3A1 (on CVs only)
JU-88
C-47

LTV-2 (on fleets only)
M-8
M-3

The map for this set-up should have lots of CVs to promote navel action.

Except for Squad night events, that's all I have been flying this tour. Now, if everyone flew those old klunkers, life would be really good! I decided to fly only aircraft in service at the time of Pearl Harbor, just for the challenge of it. So far, so good.

Even though they're rather long-in-the-tooth, the F4F-4 and C.202 are excellent fighters. Use the correct tactics and they are extremely dangerous. Especially that old Wildcat.

U can honor this sad day by simply flying only those planes. No need to change MA setup.
