I think this is the strongest arguement fot the he-177 over the Do217.
otherwise the two are pretty similar in performance etc.
what we dont need is another poorly armed bomber for the LW.In the MA they are slaughtered and the increased armement of the he-177 would mean finally LW flyers could defend themselves.
