Roads/railroads leading to air and vehicle fields from supply and fuel depots.  Once an air or vehicle field is damaged a truck convoy or train is auto dispatched to transport supplies to it.  The supplies that reach the damaged field depend on how fast the field/HQ is repaired. Supply hanger on fields to store spare parts.  Damaged planes could not be repaired if no spares present.  Taking off in a partially damaged plane to protect your territory.  Almost real, huh?

Pinpoint attacks and strategy anyone??

Manned AA on trains!  Cool!!

Alot to think about!  Plus alot more for some of you to squeak about!!

Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

P-61 would be cool if it had it's own radar. But it would be better (if this is correct) if you would have to switch positions to the radar operator position to see the radar display. This would work the same as the pilot switching to the bombadier position. Or perhaps if you had a gunner he would switch to that position.

I'd like to see some player-controllable naval units.  Destroyers would make a nice addition.  I think a late-war destroyer is a great start.
The Amphibious Tractor (Amtrack) could be modeled a naval alternative to the C-47 and M3.

Which one though? The LVT(1)'s with only the single .50, the LVT(1)a's with the 37mm and armored top, the larger LVT 2's and 3's capable of taking a vehicle like a jeep, WC-3 (I love Powerwagons   ) and maybe perhaps the M-3. Then there's the LVT(4)'s with the open 75mm FH turrent.

There's also M-29's and DUKW's.

Hmmmmm

I would like to see the following aircraft:

Tupolev Tu-2, Savoia-Marchetti S.M.79, Kawanishi H8K2 "Emily", Fw190D-9 and Spitfire MkXIV.

But as we're probably getting ships in 1.05, lets try for these:

Swordfish, Dauntles, Avenger, Aichi B7A2 Ryusei "Grace", Val and torpedoes for the Ju88.

Nash,

Hehe... There's this news for geeks site called http://slashdot.org/  and when ever there's a thread about what everyone wants, there's bound to be at least one Natalie Portman post in there.

[edit]
And as an example link: http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=00/07/20/1255251&pid=0#11

It has all of the 'classics': beowulf cluster, natalie portman and hot grits.

Railroads

Bridges

The strat that the above implies.

Consider the gun from the Ostwind mounted on a railcar. Banging away at a p-47 inbound.  The rail engine blows its steam  as it gets holed by 50 cals, and the train coasts to a stop.  The tanks loaded on the train never make it to their destination.

THAT would be cool.

1. Any plane can rescue any downed pilot.
2. Cracked and/or oily windscreen when hit or flown through debris.
3. 2 sides: Axis and Allies; Only able to fly planes available to your side.
4. Experimentation with icons- ANYTHING, let's just try something else.
5. Instrument damage.
