Anyone else playing this?  Recently picked it up - dunno what took me so long.  Great game and some of the mods out already are products in and of themselves.  Tried the online bit but I dont see any of the other cars on the track, although times are posted for their laps.

Here a pic from one of the mods - GT racing.. mm...

And from the box game...

it has a decent single player driving experience, its multi-player sucks unfortunately althoughit is ok with a couple players over a LAN. I prefer GPL though has a much more robust multi-player.

And yes the mods ROCK!!!

Where'd you find that GT mod?  Right now I'm using the SportsCarPack mod with the LeMans, Sebring, and Zandvoort tracks from http://www.rsdg.net for F1 2001.  Combined, those rsdg.net mods make a product in and of themselves.  I don't think I've ever driven F1 2001 as it came in the box since installing the rsdg.net mods.  Those guys really know how to make a sim.

The only downside to using a mod is that the damage isn't reflective of the car shape, but that's a concession I'm willing to make in order to whip the Cadillac LMP around Sebring.

Group C was one of my favorites. Too bad the series died away.
