Dots/ Icons in the clouds

Why have clouds if you can't hide in them. When you hit the cloud, you should not see any Icons or dots. The clouds are nicely done, but useless. IMHO

yep, diving into a cloud should give you a good chance at escaping, but it really makes no difference to the enemy chasing you.

I dont agree. Tough it could be better than it is now.

A couple of days ago I was in my F6F, being chased by two spitfires. They were both on my six. I saw a big cloud below me (not a layer) and I dove into it. When I was inside the cloud, I rolled my plane 180 degrees around, and pulled up when coming out of the cloud. When I looked behind me, the spits hadnt done that and came out the cloud flying the complete opposite direction.

But I guess something more could be done than what has been done so far to improve the advantage of clouds.

If your both in the clouds you can be seen, if one is in and the other out you cannot be seen.
So make it happen you can use the clouds, get in manouver, get out manouver.
Agreed it would be better if you had very limited dot contact only say 0.5 to 1k while in clouds.

Clouds to hide in would help bomber pilots alot.

Since bomber pilot need all the help they can get this is a great idea IMO.

I agree with snake.  These clouds should behave like real clouds if we are going to have them, i.e., we should not be able to see icons or dots...........that's ridiculous.

As it is now, if you are being chased closely, the con can see your dot/ icon as soon as he enters the clouds. Granted, he can't see you if he is not in the clouds, but all he has to do is get into the cloud with you, then there is no problem for him. You have to go IFR in the clouds, but if you are IFR and maneuvering at the same time, you can loose control fast.
