Sudden Frame pauses
« on: November 22, 2002, 10:53:08 AM »
Recently my system has started doing a weird "frame lock" when I fire my guns.

Here is the scenario:  I've set myself up to take a tracking shot, but just as I pull the trigger to fire my guns, everything just stops for about a half to three quarters of a second.  This makes a steady tracking shot VERY difficult.

Any suggestions?  One thing has changed on my system.  I replaced a SB Audigy with a SB Audigy2.

System:
P3-1Ghz
Gforce3 Video
SB Audigy 2
384MB Ram
WinME
Saitek X45 Joystick w/dhauzimmers drivers

Thanx!

it has to do with sound.

2 things you might try...

reinstall dx.

reduce sound acceleration a notch or 2.

I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.
I'm not perfect, but I am closer to it than you are.
