Do you really want more people in CT?

Major differences?

Axis vs. Allies

Rotating plane and map set every week.  We get all sorts of great stuff including new skins once in a while.

Friendly atmosphere (as long as shane, hawk and odee behave and the MA isnt down) ;)

No winners and losers as far as country goes.  If somebody 'resets' the map, the arena tends to crash and everybody has to go home for  a few hours.  Base capture is rarely the point and in fact tends to be looked down on.

Tuesdays and Thursdays tend to be slightly organized and people often try to recreate historical type encounters.  Last really great example of this was probably Big Week map, but we are always trying new stuff.  I hope the IJN try to put together some kind of carrier hunt thursday, its just the val is too slow and useless against an f6f, but I digress.

We also discuss what kind of maps we would like to see and what kind of matchups.

Numbers tend to be 50 or less often 20 or less.  This leads to more 1 on 1 type battles.  People will argue this, but that is what I see.

The best part of it that I see is the plane matchups.  It is much easier to use planes the way there were historically if you are not running into la7s with your 109e.

buzz, I did speak before I thunkded.:( ..and is why I deleted that post. Brady copied and reposted it and is why I was angry with him. Go back and re-read my reasons for deleting the post and for what I saw when I initialy entered the CT that night. Maybe it help you understand my view.

The only reason I started capturing fields in the BOB a few weeks ago was because I dislike flying LW and it was the only thing I enjoyed doing at that time. It didnt make it right, (doing something I disagree with). It was also during those captures that "capture" was disabled, something I have posted many many times that nearly if not all folks disagreed with me. It seems to be working out fine, doesnt it?

Fighting the F6F takes and organized attack to keep from getting killed at D700 or killed at all and is not something I am use to.  As I said before, its time to SHUT UP and change tactics and deal with it and be glad we have a CT.

I didnt see not the first KI67 or Val. go after the CVs, Im sure they did, I just didnt see any....I wonder why?

.............. When I loged off no US Cv had been sunk, one CA went down but no CV, I played till almost 11 pacific

I know that the Checkertails attacked the CV once with several hits of which all but two hits were unconfirmed hits.  Plus I was able to hit the same CV with ONE round from a bunker gun at about D22.6. The CVs are very tuff for us IJN/A to sink due to thier tuffness and barrage of firepower. We caint carry 2000lbs of bombs like some allied fighters can. I dont recall what the F6F carries but I would guess its more than two 250kg bombs. Even though we can sink the Distroyer and eliminate fighters witha sunk CV, for some reason YOU can still man guns from a Ghost ship...nice bug...and close a field!

I didnt realize that the allies did close eight fields. Can you imagine what it would have been like with B-17s, P-51s, F4Us, La-5s, etc etc etc, and base captures? I think the Disabled Base capture caused many to become discouraged and switch to fighters (furballing etc). I think it is a lot harder for axis to sink a ship than for allies to close a base. However once a CV is sunk, it stays sunk.

THERE IS NO BASE CAPTURE so why ALLOW yourself to get VULCHED. Dont give them an easy kill. I saw ONE GUY LAND AN  EIGHT KILL SORTIE  FROM VUCHING. Think it was something like "Frenchy"???? Never saw him in CT before.

Can you not now see the diffrence between the MA and CT?

I have returned with a diffrent attitude...and this set-up does help.

Thanks CMs, Lowe, 880, VF-27 and the 27th Sentai and other CT flyers

Yes he is. I actually avoided him close to the CV (trying to bomb CV) but was surprised to see such a good stick vulching with two other F6Fs, however, if the guys are gonna take off-hmmmm...I didnt! Caint vulch unless there is something to vulch!!!!! I lost interest and logged.

  Well, thanks for the replys.  Sounds like the CT is why I fly scenarios... without all the scenario baggage :)  I have always advocated a historical plane set, and I was hoping that would be among the answers.

I fly with a great bunch of guys in the MA and some events, but I think I'll be trying this out.   It just seems more sim and less game.

Keep em level.

Hey Silver Fox,
Come over and fly the CT, you won't be sorry.
If you come independent of your squad to the CT hook up with one of the squads like VF-27, 880 FAA, 27th Sentai or ours, the 325th FG depending on what you like to fly. All are class acts and will make your flying experience even better.

! Hope to see you in the CT soon.

Well, thanks for the invite.  Who knows what the future brings ;)

I'll be popping in from time to time, as I gradually shift my focus.  After getting my tail shot off a couple of times by those Italian birds   that I am coming to respect.  I can say that I do like the historical plane set aspect most of all.

You will more often than not find me in a fighter.
