AH could make it a perk point run and make it more interesting.  Think of it, deep in enemy territory on a rescue mission.  If successfull, award 12.50 bomber perk points or something.  It would be a change of pace i think.

the landing is easy ; i ditched a plane on the water more than once and it just floats there ... taking off is the problem

Not missing the point at all, I know what you mean.... however, -duma- said it was done by typing .exit followed by .join [GameID].  If that was the case, then it is perfectly possible to do now....  ;)

SAR mission sounds like a great thing.  I'd absolutely fly them.

Considering it adds a new gameplay element, it sure seems easy enough to implement. I'd go as far as to allow any plane with seats for more than 1 person to be able to pick up people until all positions are filled.

sounds like another excuse for endless/mindless chatter on vox

I like the perk point idea. I think that if you where picked up by a goon then you could keep your perkies for that flight and the goonie could get some too.

I think it is a really good idea. I think it would also be good if we had a troop eliment in the game too. But I think I will leave that for another thread before I get battered :)

I think alot more people would be for this idea if you were able to keep your perk points after being shot down.  Saving 200 perk points after your 262 was shredded by .50 cals makes me feel better.:)

I like this idea.  It gives me an incentive to not shoot bailed players until the PBY arrives to rescue them.  Then I can obtain an easy kill, and I can shatter the hopes of the stranded bailer.

Great idea..gives me incentive to follow PBY and shatter the hopes of those trying to shatter the hopes of the stranded bailer.

how about if you could rescue yourself?

ok you parachute safely to the ground and you type  '.rescue' ,  and you return to the tower like normal but a troop is left standing where you were and now in the hanger under c-47 is a new mission type 'rescue'. you can now select this and fly back to pick yourself up and if you are successful you retain any perks you had got or spent on a perk plane.

but once you select a different plane the troop is captured and no more attempts can be made.

plus have the ability to pick up other people as well.

:)

I like the way you think...

Makes sense to have it if you get perkies and if the pilot was able to keep points earned prior to bailing.

Hell...I might even fly a goon once in a while.
