Patient email at hospitals

What a wonderful thing, Overlake hospital in Seattle allows you to email a friend who is a patient at the hospital!  The emails are checked daily, and hand delivered to the patient!

One of the most brilliant software engineers I work with is Amir Denada , an Iranian that came over to the US in 1979 and graduated from Oregon State U.  Our work relationship together is such that we think so much alike, that we have to be sure not to sit across the table from one another since we'll start laughing so hard at certain terms people use (think "dirty minds" here ;) )

Amir slipped on some ice near his home yesterday, and had to undergo ankle surgery to repair his injury.

Anyway, in the spirit of the healing process, I sent him this email via the Hand Delivery process. :) I did not use my real name, as he will immediately know who sent it. :D

Amir! I heard of your accident while enroute to Seattle to check on the latest porn film you were working on when this tragic accident happened!  You'll be happy to know that the crew continued the "shoot" with an "Amir Body Double" and it looks like we'll make our dead line.  We're also taking some set safety action by requiring that all porn actresses pick up any silk underwear left on the stage to prevent any actors from slipping on them in the future.  Hope all is well with you and looking forward to your return.

Hahaha!  That is great!  I can just imagine the gossip going on at the nurse's station.

I'm betting that a young "Candy Striper" will be doing the delivery process. :)

Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain
