I can't recollect it verbatum either

....
But if I remember correctly, for Sicily, the arena settings precluded both automatic and player resupply, so if anything got hit, it remained hit for the frame.
The Allieds were very limited with respect to which bases they could launch certain vehicle types from; which meant in connection with the resuply rules they had to capture our bases not only as fast as possible but also as undamaged as possible in able to be able to use them (and the thereby available vehicles) and further their front.
So I wanted to be able to deny them usage of any base from which we performed an orderly with drawl; in line with good tactical doctrine and with the historical reality of how the Sicily campaign was fought.
In short, if I could see we were clearly going to lose a base or if we declined to defend a base to concentrate our forces then I wanted to be able to either:
_prior to frame_ I wanted the CM's to blow it up using the "destroyed objects" command
or, I wanted to be able to park Whels on a hillside in a panzer and pork a base thouroughly once we decided to vacate it
or I wanted to flatten a base with Jabo's (protect objects = off) and generaly make the Allieds march to us over ashes if we were too thin to defend a whole front.
What do you think, is this type of approach compatable or even complementary to what Tilt's trying to achieve?
I'd like to have the sappers blow bridges, bridges offend me
