C.H Mapping problems
« on: November 27, 2002, 03:57:49 PM »
I went and blew the mony for a CH Fighterstick and Pro throttle USB. I configured a 4 axis 32 button joystick, set all the inputs and buttons and mapped the stick. I flew around enjoying my new controls, everythig was working fine till I changed fields then all the mapping was lost:( I tried a number of times with the same result. The stick works fine in other sims. Any help would be appreciated.(need to let the hair grow back on the sides of my head)

I have the same ch setup  fighterstick prothrottle and pro pedals.  Download the Control Manager and program your setup thru the control manager.   A word of warning tho,  the instructions leave a little to be desired, but with diligence, you will prevail.   Wizer

I had been useing the control manager, the stick configured fine,it seems that the A.H.stick mapper will not keep the settings. I also tried to map the keyboard, but its the same, once I change fields or leave the sim all mapped settings are lost:(

Make sure this box is checked on your joystick file in AH settings folder , use windows explorer to get to it .

Right click on the file , if it's not set to this it won't save the settings like u say . Mine changed once and I had to reset every damn file in the settings folder almost . grrrrrrrrrrr , hehe .

Be sure and check the other files also in settings if you are having trouble saving your changes , I run win98se so if you have a diff os then it might look differant .

The archive bit is only used to notify backup programs that the file is new/altered and needs to be backed up. It affects nothing in the file whatsoever.
