Flight Controls

I know, I am pushing it with the second new topic in the same day...

Please, please, guys - let me assign what axis from whichever controller I choose to use for each function (like MS FS98).

I have a SWPPro in my USB port and TM FCS/WCS/Rudders setup in my game port. Both calibrate perfectly, but only one is visible to the most games (the one in slot 1 of the controllers panel).

The other sim I've been playing lately (if off-line mostly) does not allow me to use the rudders/throttle with the SWPPro - I have to use the stupid "twist" for rudders and "wheel" for throttle. I cannot even pretend that I do not have analog rudder/throttle input on the SWPPro and use keyboard for it or WCS throttle programmed to supply keyboard input - it makes me use them whether I want it or not with a pair of perfectly good pedals and throttle and keyboard sitting right next to me.
I would love to use the extra throttle or stick for trim controls. What about the mouse? Could we use it or second stick for trim adjustments (holding the button or something?).
The USB era is here, multiple controls attached at the same time are the common occurence. Windows 95and DirectX  support them for years. Please make your game easier in that respect.

Respectfully,
miko--

On a similar note, I would like to have more options when programming the keyboard commands/joystick buttons. Most important is to have three commands for things like landing gear; Up, Down and Toggle. It would make programming controllers like the TM FLCS/TQS much more flexible.

I would also like to have absolute positions for flaps, like for 10%, 20%.. No biggies but it would be nice!

If you could make it so that wheel breaks for differential breaking could be put on it own separate joystick axis (one for right and one for left side breaking force) it would be great. While you're at it I mean..

I would also like to put my two bucks in the hat.

Support for multiple controllers is essential now that USB is becoming mainstream. Enumeration of control devices via D-input makes this a low cost feature. In addition to the added buttons/axis this option gives the user, many people have multiple controllers set up for use with different types of games.

At the very least, support for choosing which controller will be active in the game should be included. Using only device 1 isn’t enough anymore.
