i ripped out my cheap industrial carpet and refinished my hardwood floors a few months back.

they're beautiful california golden oak but as she runs across the floor it sharpens her claws like crazy now and my arms look like i had a fight with a barbed-wire fence man....!

has your brood multiplied again? you were up to your ears last time i checked

oh - and ps, once you get into school there are a lot of little grants you can get that aren't obvious til you get there- usually available through the dept of your major. they used to post little notices in the P & A department office, once i got $250 for a little solar robot project and another time i got $1200 to help with a telephone project the police were doing (nothing interesting of course). also many campuses have on-campus jobs that pay ok and they're often flexible as far as hours go, you can work for the campus cops processing parking tix, or stocking the library or serving coffee or something.

- you can get paid to grade homework too if you are good at listening to the professor drone on about what he/she/it expects of you. the point is there's lots of little ways to be a student and get $$$ just be creative.

LePaul basically you get a lot of loans. They are easy to get. You can get enough to live very frugally and pay for school. But forget about things like car payments and owning a house.

If you are going to grad school you have a good shot at getting a teaching or research assistantship. This can be a lot of work but you usually get a tuition waiver plus a stipend which will pay for room and board and books and then some. Plus you can get loans on top of this.

I work for part-time for UPS and they pay 100% of my college tuition.

The bad part is that I have to work from 12am-4am and it can be a chore balancing 17credit hours with work, sleep, and 'life'.

You must be part time supervisor or something? Im an Unloader/ECS Clerk in the Local Sort (530-1030pm) and I havent seen anything that assists me with tuition.

Please correct me if I am wrong

well, graduate school fulltime is considered just 9 hrs per semester (3 classes) so I just kept working during the day and took classes at night (5:45-8:25 fall/spring 5:45-9:15 summer). When I first started, I had to take some day classes, but I was working just 30 hrs a week, so I could easily attend classes around work hours. After switching to a 40 hr week job, I had to do classes at night.

Basically, I paid for my master's degree, and the gov't helped out a little with a small grant. Plus you get to take a little off of your income taxes with the lifelong learning credit. I also got a teaching assistant job. The Comp Sci dept cut my tuition in half and the "job" itself paid $6.50/hr for 10 hrs (did it on weekends and after work on non-classnights.) Grading programs and tests, that sorta thing. Even got to teach a class session here and there.

results? Not a dime in debt to get the Master's Degree and got a 20% raise at work once I got the degree.
