Rip you know what the redline is on the BMW Z  M package??

I think most of the new 4-bangers high performace run in the 7's.. Mine runs 7200 at limiter..

Going by memory by a SMG II video, I believe the guy was hitting roughly 8500 RPM on his shifts on a 2002 M3.

6200!!  Are you sure that's not 6800?  It should be the same redline as my old e36m3, right?

Try 6000-9000rpm.  VTEC does not even kick in until 6000rpm.  Below VTEC it feels just like a Miata.

Scooby is just a dumb slang term for Subarus.  Subie, Scoobie, etc.
One of the more prominent racing parts mfrs. is "Scoobysport" out of the UK.
Kinda like goat for a GTO.  :)

PS Here's what the WRX sounds like with the Scoobysport exhaust that I'm asking Santa for:

Not your typical farting ricer.  :)

Because its better than calling it a "Dundee."  :D

Best leave while you can bud, youre in an unholy land of ricers... where an intake, headers, and exhaust will net you 200HP... and the stickers... my lord the stickers... 20HP for every sticker over number 10 and if youve got a wing on the back and body kit - look out - an F1 car couldnt hold a candle to you.

J/K of course.

There is no substitute.

We call em Rex's (as in wrx) down here. We've got other subaru's so you couldn't just apply that label to the wrx (like foresters and legacy's).

Do you guys have godzilla's in the states... heres one of my old customers godzilla : http://www.skylinesdownunder.co.nz/profiles/kiwi/fraser_r34.html

The M3's(2001>>) redline at 8500.  The Euro M54 3.0L redlines at 7000 however the US version is Chasity belted at 6200 unless you get a Dinan chip. This allows you to achieve the true redline of 7000 and 155 mph.  Otherwise once you hit 128-132 mph, you throttle/fuel cut off goes into effect.

Your older E36M3's are 276 HP I believe, the newer models are 333 hp.

Oh, you mean the rpm where the governor kicks in...the redline should be a bit higher.

The US e36m3's were 240hp...the Euro e36m3's were 315hp.

Yeah, the US e36m3's were governed at 139mph without the chip.  Personally, I like Jim Conforti's chips best...that man is a fuel map god.
