Heya Sakai,
1) open terrain editor.
2)on file menu select new
3)on pop up window call new terrain something ie; skins
4) close editor yes on save
5)re-open editor, you should see a green square the rest water.
select object tab and click on anywhere on green square.
6) find plane on object list place on terrain, still highlighted, hit save texture button, exit editor.
7) open your graphics utility, bring up savedtex sub-folder in your skins folder, hit browse you should now see all the pieces you can edit for that plane.. we only need wings and fuslege.
8) bring colors up to 16 million, edit skins, when satisfied, bring back to 256 colors.
9) open editor, skins, place your newly skined plane to observe.
You can easily jump back and forth from your graphics program and the editor.. no need to compleately close program.. simply hit open and call up your skins terrain to refresh.
For planes to go into a terrain for real, you need to create a new folder called texsrc.. everything you've skinned goes in there.. map, tiles, the whole ball of wax.
