Flew in h2h today and was doing a lot of agressive flying, and i was curious, did p38L have auto-retracting flaps which cause i dip stall in real life?

Any info would be great! :D

lazer long ago I complained to HT that the p38 should stall more gently at higher speed where it was snapping out very fast.

next version the p38 lost most of its elevator authority at high speed.

HT has made it clear that if the flaps are not programmed to retract he will make them jam or fail when they hit retract speed.

try flying a p38 fats with jammed flaps.

and judging from your lack of control in use of flaps you and Tac will always be breaking them
Fester was my in game name until September 2013

ill settle for increasing the retract speed by 50-80 mph. As it is now its ridiculous to spin out just because your speed touched a certain speed mark tick during manouvers. and this means increase in all autoretract speeds, not just the last one (250mph).

I really really hate to be sciscoring someone at low speeds only to lose the fight when the flap retracts and spins the plane/makes you lose the "turn kick" , making me lose angle/control and getting me killed or letting the other guy get away.

and the sad part is that I "spam" the flap deploy key throught the entire fight, and in every fight the moment I hear the flap retract during the sciscor I see it inmediately re-deploy where it was before, just because I hit the "retract" speed tick marker for that split of a second. Very aggravating to see that a "feature" not found in the real p38 is...well, causing my aggravation. :D

Nope, it didn't have auto-retracting flaps.
