You of limited knowledge who know not the rich history from which AcesHigh was born probably don't know who Blue Baron is. But he certainly must be signifigant and someone of note to HiTech. He is also the father of BigWeek and hardly a virtual pilot dork.

This thread barely made 2 pages and the old AW legacy bones were dug up again. AirWarrior's legacy as a community was its brutally honest meritocracy (see BB's fame&shame). Its tragically ironic that the self-annointed keeper's of AW's flame have skills deteriorated to such a degree that their only remaining rusty weapon is a desperate attempt to trace some tenuous at best virtual royal bloodline.

Don't get my wrong, I'm an AirWarrior, I loved AirWarrior. But damn if those coattails aren't getting crowded.

Shane, I will refer you to this: "your insults suck more wang than you do."

Rotorian, thank you- it's a WB pure bred. (Still didn't notice I didn't slam BigWeek? man you guys are slow)

do you even read your own sig?

Folks, here we have a perfect example of which I speak. Good old Oedy is putting down those who's humor he doesn't find funny. Be careful out there folks, lest you laugh at the wrong thing and get busted by the funny cops.

how could i answer yours? in typical anal retentive WarpBirdies fashion, you stood on your soapbox and answered it yourself. But *I* will add this: The Scenario Corps has benefitted greatly from the AW legacy.

:D

it's interesting how some people wear blinders to what's really going on in terms of gameplay - usually ex-warpbirdie types.

All that I said flew over the heads of you and Hornet like the space shuttle.

I dredged up the history of this game to show that the stuff Shane is doing has been done for well over ten years by the most respected players.

I dredged BB up because he is the founder of BigWeek (in defense of a group of folks I care a lot for).

Certainly AcesHigh is AcesHigh, not AirWarrior or WarBirds, but a lot of what AcesHigh is came from them. To understand the present, it helps to consider the past, so the legacy IS important.

Well said, Grizzly!  I can't believe that anyone would get warned/muted for saying the word "Dweeb"!    It just makes no sense at all.... heck, we used it all the time in AW and I always think of myself as one, especially in fighters.... :)

As for Shane, I have known him for a few years now, and have never seen him say anything bad in all that time.  Yes, he likes to taunt the enemies.... but, like Grizzly said, it's all in FUN!  Shane doesn't use vox, so probably uses text more than most.... why should he be penalised just because he enjoys a bit of banter?  :p

Whatever I did at least pertained to the subject at hand. You seem to have gone off on a tangent with your AW phobia. Should the fact that you don't care about the past prevent me from mentioning it?

Me too - GREAT idea.

They all originated from notable players, like GB, Subby, Pasha, DD, Kitty, Dead Man, Slug, DoK, Holmes, HiTech, and many more, all frequenters of that "virtual pilot dorkdom" BigWeek.

Damn, I bet AKCurly is though.  Probably had to leave the squad for it.  I'm guessing that you can't be in a squad if you are going to be a mod.  Bias and all.
