Car Bombing and the Alternatives

IMO this tactic has got to be the lowest a person can sink to.
Drive over to M3s on the field with a Buff and take out everyone with a bomb drop.
Flying around at 50-100 feet and search out ground vehicles inb to the field. Who cares if you kill yourself in the process.
What are some of the alternatives?
Time or distance to allow the bombs to arm themselves? Both would solve the Buff tactic of taking out attacking fighters by dropping their eggs while sitting at the spawn point on rwy.
Distance would still allow low level bomb drops that are potentially lethal to self because you would have horizontal travel as well.
Am I the only one ticked off by this tactic?
Anyone else out there with suggestions?

On one hand in real life it would hardly be allowed to risk an almost certain loss of an expencive B17 bomber with crew just to swap a lowly M3 lurking around the field.
On the other hand, the airfields and adjacent countryside were not taken by a single M3, even supported by a couple of tanks. You needed at least a couple divisions for that. So M3 in this game actually represents a major assauld by a motorized brigade. Wasting a bomber trying to stop it does not seem like an overkill then.

My point is that most of the time you should not tinker with symptoms when the whole system is is flawed - only more complexity and exploitable "features" will be introduced. There are considerable limitations to what can be implemented in the game at this stage.

the strat is very gimicky and unrealistic.  You can't expect people to not exploit that.  I am pragmatic about it.  so long as it is so embarassing I don't participate in it.   I do like the gunnery and flight models of the fighters tho.

Next time take out the ammo bunkers.  You don't get something for nothing and you shouldn't be complaining when the attackers didn't think to take out two very easy targets.

Here's something incredibly ironic.  A while back, when bases only had 3 ack, certain players would park B-26s at the end of the runway and gun down anyone that spawned, as a C47 would fly in.  This was in the day when down hangars didn't prevent spawning.

Pyro's suggestion to such a dweebish act was to spawn in a plane with bombs and drop them real quick to destroy the attacker.

The best solution to the "car bombing"??

Get rid of the need for it.   Make infantry with guns and bazookas available at every base.

Like it or not, the "car-bombing" fills a need in the MA.  Base capture is already incredibly simple--removing this tactic would make it even easier.

Heh... I kinda like the 'bazooka' team idea!  They may need a little more cover but it could be cool.   M16 should also be able to dump off anti tank teams....

Think I said something about this in the gameplay forum, Of course, Now it might get some attention since it was addressed by a
"game voice" (not a slam guys, I just pity the irony)
