How many resets have their been in wwiiol? You just reset the map you dont move on to BoB med or anything.......
So what you will end end up with is 41 aircraft vehicles in the same arena with the vehicles that are there now but most likely they will be limited.
But its unclear to me in this statement on whether they go with a wholy '41 set up or just add '41 era vehicles into play with what is available currently.
With the last two patches to v1.7 we have been using the rolling map that we talked about earlier this year. Bringing the server down and back up with a stable map is important both for being able to patch without resetting the map as well as changing spawn lists without resetting the map. At this time we plan to introduce the 1941 vehicles on a set time after the beginning of a new map. That time will likely be between 4 and 6 weeks. Once the map has been live for that period we will bring the servers down and adjust the spawn lists to accommodate the new vehicles, making changes to the available numbers and favoring the new vehicles over the old. We are working to be able to change the spawn lists without bringing the server down but will not likely have that functionality right away. We’ll post more about this as we get closer to launching the 1941 set. You can also expect some drastic changes to this whole system once we begin implementing the RPG layer and Deployment. Look for future posts in this forum on both of those topics.
But I am too lazy and generally dont care what they do.
Aces High rotates maps after every reset. We have a series of historical and "fantasy" type maps. In our combat theater we have a ton of maps that rotate out weekly. But Aces High isnt a "World War II simulation".
World War II online. Has very little to do with WW2. Except for vehicle names and town names. Aces High doesnt pretend it to be WW2.
1.7 looks marginally better but its still the same game.
As for a "meeting of the minds", well that aint ganna happen over WWIIOL and the news you linked make it even less likely in the future.
