when u go into the program software, you have to click on the rotary knob, then go to the programming box for the rotary. you will have to right click (i think) then pick the set band option. you then move the rotary as far as you want one way (not too far if you plan on using the rotary alot), hit the key to set band, then move the knob back accross the center detente the other way until you hit the other position you want, then hit the set band switch again. what you get is a dead center position, then a programmable "button" when you move the button one way, and another "button" when you move the button the other way. You can set up more than two programmable buttons by creating more set points. I just use two for now...what you can't do is use them as analog style rotaries, its digital. Or, you can use the stick setup like eagler was kind enough to attach...but then again, once you learn to program your own, you are the man....."if you give a man a dat file, you help him for a game..if you teach him to program, you help him for all games...."
