Ive noteced alot latley when fighting gvs at a enemy GV base they disco after a few hits and get another vechile.  When they disco, none of us were getting the kills. Happened to me and a squadie like 5 times. I tried it though after lossing my engine at a freindly vechile base and who ever shot me got the kill. I dont understand what is happening here.

they're most likely still within the sphere of "landing" influence at their VH... whil eyou've probably wandered slightly out of it. you need a critical hit = BOOM! to ensure you get that kill.

if it were a "disco" you'd still get credit if you pinged them as it counts as a "death."

it's one of the more minorly annoying gimmicks that favors defenders in GV's over offense. the ability of unlimied spawn/land when pinged to suck down attacking GV ammo with little or no risk to the defense.
Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.
I'm not perfect, but I am closer to it than you are.

I had a tank yesterday an easy 2.5 gv field widths out from a gv base do the dissapearing act yesterday after I had him smoking.  No kill no nuthin.  Some of the GV bases might be bugged as to safe landing zones, I dunno.

I usually need more room to disco than most GV's will allow.

Yes, I'm that good!

no it's not safe "landing" it's "ditching" in your area...

ie if they were at your base they would be "captured" and thusly you'd get a "kill" message.

but if you are at the enemy base and they ditch in that "sector" it counts as a safe "ditch" no kill awarded.

this is a problem that has bugged me quite a bit. but i dont know how it can be fixed.

the "area" that you can ditch w/o being captured is unknown to me .. i have been "captured" within 5k of a friendly base and yet ditched "successfully" within 5k of an enemy base before.

oh well my 2¢

not so.

I dropped a bomb right into the turret of an Osti just out side one of our towns on Uterus.  He continued to fire, (thems tough sumsasqueakes in that open turret) until his ammo ran out, .efluffied and I got nothing and he got a ditch.

The closest VH and Enemy field was a sector away.

he prob. was in the "town limit" which you can "land successfully" at even if it enemies... just like enemies airfields and VH's
