Something to think about
« on: December 11, 2002, 03:55:11 PM »
i was wondering if its possible to use  elevator trims or flaps on the  trottle systeme instead of using the buttons?
example: you run a Ch trottle system with a microsoft joystick
Then you put the elevators trims on the Ch trottle not the buttons..
and keep your regular set up on the joystick..
like that one has full control over the plane. is this just dreaming
or will one have the option to do so in a near futur?

you mean that you'd want to control elevator trim with the throttle itself? can be done with cougar... no problem...  you could even choose if you'd want a digital elevator trim or analog. guess you'd have to do it digital since ah doesn't do analog trim, or does it?

Well iceydee with the Cougar you can set the rotary controls to act as the trim functions. Then use the S3 button to act as the "shift" key for rudder trim after you have set the elevator and aeileron trim with the other basic functions. Just a thought and you get to leave the throttle itself alone.
