what makes you think 414 mph is the correct speed for the 38L? I have seen 421 for the J/L on 1,600hp at 25k and 426 mph at 30k for the same plane. who really knows what this plane did? like I said in an earlier post. when a 33H does 405mph on 1,240 hp per engine at 25k (over 10,000ft the 38H could not produce the 1,600 hp due to innercooler limitations) and you add 700 to 1000 hp to the J and L and its only suppose to do 9 more mph on that added hp what gives? one person explained it as props couldnt use added hp. geeze.
