Calibrating a Slider ?
« on: December 13, 2002, 08:29:38 AM »
I've got a slider on My Joystick that I use for throttle.  Right now its "full-on" or "full-off" and that suxs.  How can you calibrate it to so I can get a range of throttle settings instead of full on- full off.

try this.

under setup => joystick => select joystick
   ensure that slider is acting as Z axis

under setup => joystick =>
   calibrate joystick, follow on screen instructions (ie. move stick, rudder, throttle, etc.)

And make sure to hit the "set" button when you're done.  Took me an exasperatingly long time to figure out such a simple thing.

You have to make sure that the joystick and throttle are properly calibrated within Windows and not just AH.
