Where did the turbojets come from?

Now to get that high, what I did was take 100% fuel and take off from the highest base available. I set the autoclimb and wait patiently to get high enough for the turbojets to kick in (27,000 to 30,000 feet). Be warned, it can take upward of at least 45 minutes to get that high with 100% of fuel. Just leave it on autoclimb, and you will know when the turbo kicks in. The climb rate increases to roughly 3,000 to 4,000 feet per MINUTE.  ALso fairly easy to maneuver once it kicks in also.

The limit to as high as you can go is only limited to the amound of fuel you bring. I have a film somewhere of dropping troops at 2000,000 feet. Hope this helps!

I've heard that the "air" doesn't exist after a certain altitude and therefore the "air" resistance doesn't exist either.  Therefore the results is exceptional climbing and handling.

Just what I've heard.

The "bug" is twofold.
First is that air over 60k is like flying at sea level.
The second is that the c47's engines are bugged and instead of losing power, can run at an incredibly high MP.  (once over exactly 27000feet, the c47 burns fuel unbelievably fast, as it puts out an incredible amoutn of power)  It will rip itself apart at full throttle in level flight even.

Heh, that makes no sense.  If there is no air, you're in a vacuum.  If there was no air, thus no air pressure and no lift, you'd fall like a rock, quite literally.

So you have no drag, some lift, and no oxygen starvation?

It's a shame you can't go higher then 48k online, it sucks actually. Once you reach 48-49k the plane blows up :(

I spotted one of those orbital C-47s last night near A10 on the Island map.  When I climbed to intercept it, I closed within d1.0 yards as we both approached 30,000ft and then the Gooney left me in a cloud of dust as it accelerated away and continued to climb like a bat out of hell.

Wilbuz,
You have to pass the physics change altitude very carefully to avoid the damage, most of the time the change is so sudden there's at least one damaged part, but it's not impossible to manage.
