LINUX and Wine-X
« on: December 15, 2002, 03:53:23 PM »
Well, I've decided that I no longer wish to support Bill Gates and upgrade to Satan-ware aka Windows XP. I don't want Bill coming into my computer and deciding what software I can and cannot run. So it is time to switch to LINUX.

Has anyone ran AH with Wine-X on a LINUX system? Does it work? I don't want to give up AH, but will if there is no choice.

You do realise when you install Linux the guys in black helicopters come and install spyware on your system at night when you're sound asleep right?

are you serious? keep a small 200mb win98 partition on your harddrive for AH... I'm running a couple of linux boxes (and BSD) but still can't be without XP because of a bunch of programs. Btw. Microsoft didn't "steal" the market and get "monopoly", consumers chose microsoft and since most use microsoft, developers choose windows as their platform... unfortunately there's not enough linux users for all programs to be ported.

They've also been found guilty of illegal anti-competitive practices, and managed to buy thier way out of it lol.

Awwww,..come on guys.  Just because Microsoft has enough money/clout to illegally snuff competition and get away with it, does not make them bad.
They are just working the system to the fullest extents they can.

I seem to recall a very similar phrase from a thread where someone got banned from AH.:)
