Solution to the insta-GV kills - HT pls consider

HT, instead of having my tank explode and me instantly back in the tower when I hit a tree/rock/building/whatever......would you consider coding that the tank just stops?

IE, hit tree = tank stops and you've now gotta back out and untangle yourself.

Instead of, hit tree = tank explodes and now you've gotta go roll a large J to try and calm down after losing 50 perks.

Thirded. We need a "mangled" (semi-functional) status between OK and wrecked. * Taking GVs out can be even less rewarding than taking buffs out due to this. I dont give a wossname about perk points, but I hate the tendency to all-or-nothingness  in a lot of cases with GVs.

* suggestion: like a mangled track one side will only function in first gear and/or reverse. A mangled gun MAY (if you're lucky) still function, but with a reload rate 4 times longer than usual, perhaps. Mangled engine might mean instant KABOOM, or might mean a fire starting that will after a short while mean KABOOM. Hitting a tree (unless at very high speed) should mangle, not kill. Mangled turret jams in one direction.

Oh, and can we have a BT7 light tank for the next GV, please? :-) (eventually I'd like to see 1-3 GVs from various nations, plus some artillery pieces, but little steps, little steps.. :-) )

It depends how fast you are going.... if there are obstructions such as trees around, I don't tend to go above 2nd gear.... then if I do hit a tree, I just come to a stop and have to then manoeuvre my way around it.  What is annoying is that sometimes while during this manoeuvring I catch it again and can instantly explode!

BUNCH of good suggestions like that from over 2.5 years ago in this thread:

I think this thread also covered the "C47 used to pull a Glider with artillery inside" but that may be another old thread from the early days of AH.
