High Speed Low Pass in a 747
« on: December 19, 2002, 08:29:50 PM »
So, there I was, taking the 747 down the length of the runway, 500 feet, airspeed right up against the overspeed limit warning.  At the end of the runway, I pulled into a hard left bank, flew it out and came back over the runway, slowed to 250kts, 1500 AGL.  Crossed the end of the runway, broke into a hard left turn, held 30 degree bank, gear out half way round the circle, flaps coming down, full flaps just before going wings level as I descended to the runway, planted it down and went into full reverse.  Shxt hot!

Spent a few hours last night flying an airline 747 sim, it was a blast.  Gonna have to do that again sometime.
