I just downloaded the editor and everytime i try doing anything i get this message:

"This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor"

I pasted this from the detail:

HEDIT caused an invalid page fault in

I tried reinstalling it and still have the same problem.

Also, once we get this problem figured out i would like to make a map featuring part of the rumble map.. How would i go about getting the file? Basically, I want to take one of the sections and make it an island..

I have the same exact problem, and was hoping to find the solution here.

Can anyone run the Terrain Editor succesfully?

I am running Win 98 on a PII 333 (stop laughing) with 256Mb of ram.  Monster sound MX300 sound card and a GeForce 3d Prophet (the one right before DDR)

I am expecting a new system in two to three weeks, I just can't handle the FR drop in furballs or near bases, cities, ect.  So this may fix my problem.

Thanks,

Well, I've had the same exact problem for ooooooh 'bout a year :).  That is before I gave up.  I recently added more ram and a  better video card, but havent had the will to mess with it.

At the time of my troubles I had 128meg of ram and a TNT2, which everyone swore up and down it was good enough.

Maybe after the holidays I'll dwelve back into it, as I would like to get a Ploesti terrain going, some time.
