painting the the fender was a good idea joch.. I was gonna make magnetic base flags that you could stick to the roof of BMW's..  the flag would stick up about 5 feet and be bright orange with your name in black..  you would then be able to find your car in a large parking lot of hundreds of other silver BMW's... unless your name happend to be "Biff" or something.   Would end the frustration of "clicking" on every BMW in the lot.

It's a '69 with a '68 front bumper.   I blew up the original 396 and it is now a 468 with a six speed.   It was a 396 4speed SS car.

I thought the 69 had one-piece windows (no wing)?  At least... for the Chevelles.  I always thought that translated over to the El Caminos too.  Learn something new every day.

Nice car... but what is your obsession with 2 seaters? ;)

Aren't there only like 1,500 of those in the US?

Here's mine. Not much of a classic, but what the hell.

deja.. the chevelles were without windwings but the elky's had em..   My obsession with 2 seaters?  well.... I might convert the elky to a bench seat but... I don't have any family living with me anymore.   I'm not a taxi soo... I needed something with a pickup bed and there was nothing out there with an extended cab that I would want.    A back seat seems kinda wasteful... my heater works better in the winter and my ac better in the summer in the elky...  even so... It's really a large car by todays standards... you really have to lay down across the seats to wind down the passenger window from the drivers seat.
