I just went through the BBS to research this and it appears NUTTZ is pissed at Hitech because he did not source the AH mechandise through NUTTZ's business.

I do not know the details nor do I care to.  But perhaps HTC wants to keep church and state seperate, and Nuttz is taking a business decision by HTC personally.  I am sure the soap saga will unfold within the next few days.

It's the unions, Grun!
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

How would it hurt the community?  If Nuttz is pissed that HTC exercised their "right" to choose whoever they wanted to for their promotional product all I say is boo diddlying hoo.  It's none of my business who or why they chose the supplier.

It's obvious Nuttz is upset and he also has a "right" to feel any way he wants.  He can and should stop posting here like he has because it is serving no purpose whatsoever and it's making him look like a fool.

Take it to e-mail or phone HTC Nuttz.

Because it created a precedent of the troubles over the community concerning business related issues, skernsk. From what I know according to Grun, this fiasco begins when somebody thought his personal ties with the game can influence real life business relationships with the owners of the game.

It's an ugly event, and I doubt I'd seen anything like this before. Sure, there were some aviation art sites and companies carefully knocking door and advertising to the AH commuity, but...this..?

Nuttz,

Kiddo, you need to stop posting and count to 10..er make that 10,000.

As a business person, you should realize that business decisions are made for a variety of reasons, based on all kinds of data, some of which you might not be privy to.

In any case, HTC has a right to contract with whatever suppliers they wish for whatever reason they want.

As a professional, you should have called Dale up and discussed the matter with him calmly.  You should have asked if there was any part of your operation that you could improve so that they would consider you in the future.  Just because you didn’t get this order doesn’t mean you might not have gotten others.  You might have found out that they simply wanted to diversify their supply sources.  As a business owner yourself, that’s a decision you should respect.

What you shouldn’t have done, is go to a customer’s public place of business and throw an emotional tirade because you didn’t get a contract you thought you should have.  Not only does that burn any possible bridge you might have for future orders, it plain makes you look unprofessional, and unstable. The result won’t be positive for you or HTC or the AH community.

This behavior is, quite frankly, beneath you, or at it least should be.

Regards,
AKWabbit

Other than Nuttz no longer making maps, it won't affect the game.

Let's have a reality check here.

If this is truly over who makes hats and coffee cups with the AH logo how will that affect gameplay in the MA?

I'm thinking pretty much not at all.

Sorry to see Nuttz go. He made nice maps. But if this truly is an "outside" business argument, it's not going to change the true core of the game.
