No, its a way to simulate streaks.

That's all, and I like it.

I do not agree with the repair thing though.  I think refueling/re-arming is enough.

On the repair, we could do that, but I would wan't it to be scored just as if you exited and replained so in the end it would just add more imersion, and the ablity to replane from a closed field.
