Constructive Criticism
« on: December 21, 2002, 10:09:35 PM »
Well after trying out the next Patch 1.11 I would like to point out a few things.  First I am enjoying the ground war more so now then ever before.  Its great seeing a variety of gv's now, now my beef.  We got one vehicle the Tiger, deservedly perked.  From what I remember HT saying that gv's were easier to model then planes were.  A simple request we need more GV's, HT also said they were working on suburbs or soemthing for more gv battles.

I would love to see more gv's in this game, I would love to see more planes but the gv's are lacking considerably.  A T-34 would be nice, Mk V panther A or G model, Sherman 76 or firefly, anything would suffice.

Lag has increased big time since the update major warpings, death in the tiger from the enemy you never see.

Amen, I've lost at least 2 perk planes to disco since the new patch. Tried to contact HT about it, but am getting no response. I've had the same thing happen in a Tiger, but I'm not as worried about gv perks........yet :D

A T-34/85 and a Sherman M4A3 (75mm {what can I say, GRUNHERZ convinced me}) would hit the spot nicely.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Churchill Mk VII and a Puma as well.  A Panther V G would make a great perk tank as well, or maybe an IS-2 or M26 Pershing.

I would bet this is nuber one complaint fom new player.  "WOW" I got 50 perks, Now I gonna get em!"   Rumble rumble rumble,  tree? What tree?  BOOM

This is nutz and hitech knows it.  There is something in the code that prevents them from fixing this, else they would have already done it.

In the mean time, how about lets turn off them thar defective trees?   I don't think anyone is attached to them?

For me, lag and ping are at an all time low and I haven't CTD'd once. Maybe I'm just lucky.

By lag do you mean a big FPS drop in fights? Or , is it warps or what...I mean I'm asking because I am having problems as well. I have no idea why either. I changed VID card (See Post "I need help please") and it made an initail increase in FPS when im not fighting ALOT of people but man...It gets BAD in big Furballs...Just wondering.....THanks:)

I think you misunderstood my post, VFJackal. :) I've never had a better connection. I don't get big FPS hits in furballs (although that beautiful Finland-Russia map in the CT did have a noticeable effect).

I live in the UK, and before HTC did all their server moving etc things were ropey. Now that's all complete and v1.11 is out, things have improved considerably.

Sounds like yours is a hardware issue (stating the bleeding obvious, I know ;)). For what it's worth my specs are:

Athlon Tbird 1.2 Ghz
512 Mb RAM
Hercules Prophet II GeForce 2 based card (64 MB)
Sound Blaster Live 5.1
Cable modem (routed to two PCs - both playing AH simultaneously!)

Sorry I can't be of more help.

The one thing you guys have to consider with your requests is that with increased content, you get increased lag.  I am sure that the HT staff are working on steamlining, but knowing a little about online gaming I can tell you that they are doing an Outstanding job.  For an example of a poor job in handeling a great deal of information I suggest you try WW2 online. They have some big issues to deal with.  This game runs like silk in comparison.  I am ecstatic with this game.  It's everthing that Air Warrior wasn't and offers much more in terms of content.

No, I do not work for HTC :D
