wonderful wonderful video.

IMO it captures what it must have been like to face hopeless odds day after day.

Do LW get shot down and get their chutes strafed in this video or something?

the movie consists of 5 or so sorties. every sortie starting with 190s taking off, and ending with 190s disappearing from the field (the ones that died during the last sortie). the last sortie there was only 1 remaining of the 190s (10 or so from the start) and he got killed in his chute. btw. I'd love to see chutes get killed the way they do in IL2 instead of the AH explode...

Oh man, just beautiful. And what frame rates.

Definitely gonna try it when I get a new machine.

One question though; seems like the dudes here are using mouse view. I've just touched IL2 briefly, but it dinnae seem to have all the view in AH. Just left right front left front right rear right and real left And straight up. I need left up etc too, like in AH. Can live without a 6 view.

So is there any way for this or do I have to use mouse view, which takes a delicate hand OFF the throttle to work?

Physics look impressive. Love the bit where a downed 190 slams into the wing of a bomber, taking out the wing and with it the bomber. Dislike the huge flashes the nose guns make - am pretty sure from video I've seen that it wasn't so bad IRL. Any fix for this?

i get all the ah views but 6 and up 6

You need to make sure your hat is mapped correctly.

I use ch stuff

on my pro throttle is a hat switch I use this for my views

fwrd = forward + up
fwrd left = fwrd left
fwrd right = fwrd right
left = left
right = right
back left = back left
back right = back right
back = instrument view

on the ch throttle theres 3 buttons on the back I use the outside and out right one for flaps

I use the center 1 for "up"view".

I use it in combo with the hat and get all the views. I do this in ah too but back view = 6 view in ah.

I wish I could get the mini js to be mouse view like the cougar tards :)

I have my stick the same in everygame I play from wbs to ah to il2.

Even the 7mm on the 109s flash like that. Its way over kill but theres no fix.

Most impressive film. Like StSanta my favourite part was where the 190 do a "Memphis Belle" on the Pe-8.
A minor critique might be that too many planes simply get blown up. It's more cool when a plane just gets crippled and crash, I think. Either they were crack shots with the 30mm's or they had Easy Gunnery enabled.

Views can be set up exactly like in AH. I can't figure out why some people complain it lacks sticksets. When I had my old 9 button Wingman Force I could get all views with the hat combined with one button. Now I have an X45 but still have the views exactly the same in both AH and IL-2, save the 6 view, which I use for instrument view (front down) instead then. I even have mouse view right at my left thumb, but I am not really confident in using it in action yet.

Btw, from the looks of it I don't think it was mouse view that was used in those cockpit pans. It seemed more like padlock in most of the cases.

Here is a great mirror site for this download.  It is MUCH faster than the original link.
