OK.. just added:

Badz
Karnak
GRUNHERZ
Greebo
Vulcan

I'm also thinking of expanding it to top 20 this tour... its no more work.

A Best K/D list for each plane is also in the works... but I need to establish some kind of "minimum" number of kills for that one.

I guess those of us who don't fly 133 hours in 3 weeks don't qualify

Ahh, thats a good idea. *Very* interesting. The specific k/d is probably the most important thing to judge a pilot skill, then the hit ratio and then the kill per sortie. But with enuff kills, as you say. Maybe 50 kills or more ...

They are very good gliders, but they try to do clever acrobatics and looping. But they will stick it even if things are going against them, whereas the Jerries will run." (G.Beurling)

50 kills are too much. I went thru the stats from last tour and only for the most popular planes there are more than 10 people with more than 50 kills in them.

Maybe make it the 50 people with the most kills in the plane gets into consideration?

Hmm, wonder if 50 people have even flown the 202

Snefens,
I dunno if 50 is the right figure. The only thing I'm sure is that a k/d=15 with only 15 kills in a specific plane mean nothing. I have a k/d=13 with the La-7 but with only 13 kills. I do not think to be an outstanding La-7 pilot, just a lucky one in the first sorties with it

AKDejaVu,
what do you think about it?

Hey Deja, can you add to your list K/D to list as well, or at least K/D of the ones on the list?

Would really appreciate it, and already appreciate the considerable time and effort you put into this

Well, I doubt 13 kills in the La7 will put you in the top 50 list. It seems to be quite popular.

But you might be right. There should be some minimum. How about you get into the K/D list if you either are in top 50 of kills or have 20(30?) or more kills, that way the less popular planes would also have a full list (from the first rule), while "lucky"-sorties are somewhat sorted out.

Time on-line is not the main factor for making the top 10 list.  The main factor is dedication to one specific type of aircraft.  The next most important factor is the type of aircraft... the more obscure the better.  500 Kills in a CHog is not necessarily putting you in the top 5, but 500 kills in a typhoon will.

I have less than 40 hours in the Yak-9U, but I think I'm going to make the list... maybe even top 3 for the plane.

I like how u did it last month.  I liked seeing where I ranked with the other top (10 or was it 5 last month?) in my main ride, the 190A5.  But of course I understand it's a time consuming process so you have to set limits.
