As cobra said wld,
Create a a file with an identical size (256x256 default) to the texture you want to mask. Make it 256 colour Greyscale.
Call the file the same name as the texture file but with _a on the end ( xxxxxx_a.bmp )
Imagine putting the alpha mask over the texture file. Anything pure white on the alpha mask will not alter the texture underneath it. Any area of the alpha mask pure black will block out the texture underneath completely. To get rid of just the Cripes a Mighty your alpha mask should be pure white with a small black patch in the top left hand corner.
Be careful to just mask off the area very precisely or you will end up with transparent artifacts on your skin.
This only works for areas that have textures layered over textures.
