The only real chance for AH to survive long term is if we can somehow double our numbers of paid accts (hence getting HTC in the black)

New names & faces come in waves, been that way since beta, & I don't see it changeing anytime soon. It is indeed up to us old hands to set the example. Both in the air and on the text buffer.

Everyone should really put forth an effort to help out any new player that comes into our community.  I see too many people being rude to others just because they're new.  It doesn't matter where they come from.  I used to be a big Quaker player.  Are you saying I'm not welcome here?  Anyone can learn to fly with honor and skill.  It's just up the individual as well as the community to encourage it.
This game isn't about discrimination.  It's about bringing people together and having fun.  If you want this game to succeed in the long run, you have to support and help the new players.  Our community is a big part of what makes this game great.  So play nice.

I like helping the newbies especially on their first coordinated missions...
I remember when i did the first and how this captured my interest in flying online.
I'll do my best to help the new guys  
However if i hear 'how do you fly?' one more time.....

This isnt your typical Quaking/Counterstrike type of players game.
No instant gratification (ie. the often exclaimed: you diddlying camper)
and considering the short attention spans of most teenage first person shooter fans...we've got nothing to worry about from those droogs.
Oh before the PC types act up about I used to play xxxx...I still actively play HL/CS so I have intimate knowledge of thier psyche!

If any game (yes, I said "game") needs new blood it's this one.   Even nash can be right  (agree with me) on occassion.... the more the merrier!  Hell.... couple hundred more players and we might even get some early war planes.... All you guys that are too good for new guys can just fly "realistically" at 30K... end of problem.
