Thats why the evo has less power cause of the emission laws, they had to work hard on the engine and they only just made it. Plus it costs less that the scooby, an estimated £22,000.:)

id rather buy an evo and spend the savings on upgrades:D

Great, a riceburner that actually puts more than 95 ft/lbs to the ground... some of these "fast and furious" kids are gonna be "still and peaceful."

Incedently Kelly - what is that?  Me like.

There is no substitute.

Not bad, not bad at all!

The WRX STi would make a great track car.

Its an Alfa Romeo.  They race those in the Alfa Romeo Challenge series in Europe. Not sure if its available in the US or not.  I haven't seen one in my neighborhood, and chances are if its fast, expensive, or cool, I would've seen it driving down the street.

Hi,

It's an Alfa Romeo 147 GTA, not those diesels they use in the 147 challenge.

A few stats:

3.2 Liter 6 cyl. 24valve engine
HP: 250
topspeed: above 155mls
0-100km/h: 6,3s
True racing frame, shocks, brakes...not just "fast looking".
prize: ca. €40.000,-

Actually it's the fastest production car in it's class. And not only topspeed, in all cases, racing track, too.

Man, you guys get all the good cars... lets send the WRX's and EVO's home, get rid of emissions laws and bring some REAL cars over here!

Edit:  Is it FWD or RWD?

FWD, Alfa Romeo got rid of RWD in late 90s I think, when they were close to bankrupt.
Now, in better days, they start to create again real great (fast) cars, and the new GTAs are limited to 250HP, because they can't bring more power on the street with FWD...it could have been more with RWD.

They already stated that the following designs will be able to have 4WD, so they aren't limited anymore and can design what they want to.
:D

Jeasious Kelly what is that bar of soap looking abomination?
0-60 in 6.3.   Putt putt putt  :)

Rip just tune into WRC any time you wanna see how a WRX STi handles.  WRC has very strict power limits so it's basically a handling war.  And about half the rallies are on smooth tarmac.

Like BMW grandpa sedans are some kind of special cornering machines.  LOL tell me another good one.  :)

I'll take a race bred spartan performance car over an overweight yuppie achievement badge any old day of the week.  :)
