So much for "best engine of the year" and all that jazz.  Subaru turbos and Honda VTEC motors put out way more power per liter than those Beemers and you don't see them spinning crank bearings.

M54 was the best engine of the year funked. This has nothing to do with it.  Try again. :)

M54 engine is why. I don't have an M3 :)

Incidently, I've talked my wife out of the 530i (3.0 litre) she wanted to get in 2005.  I've talked her into the 540i (4.0 liter) :D  I figure I have 2 more years to talk her into the M5 :D
