You got that book yet? The new one, the Real Bravo Two Zero?

Reading it now......and so far the author has found the wadi they hid in, the idiot* who was driving the bulldozer and the shephard boy who supposedly saw them............and the boy claims he never saw them but the dozer driver did (the boys father no less - Bedoin). Also turns out this dozer driver spent 12 years in the Iraqi special forces 8 of which was during the Iran - Iraq war and so was his mate who he went and got......

3 Arabs (2 ex special forces with AK47s and one blokes Dad with an ancient single shot rifle) then went back out to the wadi as B20 were moving out and shadowed them as they came out of the wadi, a few warning shots were fired by the Bedoin (a custom apparently) at which point B20 hit the deck and returned fire with.....well everything including LAWs, dumped the bergans and a couple of smoke grenades and ran away quick.

So right now it looks like this "running battle" that McNab describes where they took out 2 APCs and multiple Iraqi's.......well it looks like it's total bollocks.

I've read it, and it is quite an interesting read.

I would also recommend Eye of the Storm by Pete Ratcliffe, the 22nd SAS RSM. He gives McNab a real roasting as well.

read the book and seen the movie as well.

there is a bookc alled "The REA: B 2 0"and it is a guy that follows the route via Mcnabs book and shows what really happened.

Yeah sorry I missed your post.
I got it and read it, very interesting.
He is biased against McNab and the other guy, as he admits.
But it seems like his research was sound. Unless the Iraqi ranchers were "taking him for a ride", it looks like his findings were accurate.
The B20 troopers are still heroes, it's just that maybe two of them are less than honest heroes.
