Dual Throttle Control

I am looking to buy a stick, and also dual throttle control, cause this mouse is getting rather annoying.  If anyone flys with dual throttle control please let me know what you think, and if its even worth the money.

Until about 5 months ago I used a dual throttle control from Suncom (out of business now) and the only advantage it had was on multi-engine planes I could correct for damage to one wing by cutting back on the opposite engine.  I now use CH pro throttle and havent really missed the dual throttle control that much.

It is easier to taxey and turn on the runway with dual controls though.

dual controls ... hmmmm that got me to thinking.

a dream setup would be dual throttles, a stick, a yoke (for bombers and vehicles), and rudder pedals.

is that even possible.... to set up a yoke for bombers/GV's and a stick for fighters without unplugging the sticks and relogging?
I don't know what to put here yet.

I am flying a MS Force Feedback Sidewinder and a CH PRO USB throttle.  Been flying like this for 1.5 months now and WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing, only thing i have to touch the keyboard for is typing in the text buffer.

Absolutely, a few of us have been badgering HTC to allow for vehicle controls to have independent mappings. At the moment Veh turn and throttle are hard mapped to the X/Y axis on the default AH stick.

AH supports multi-sticks, so all HTC have to do is seperate the Veh controls out.

The only dual throttle that I've seen is the one from SunCom, the SFS Throttle.  You can still find them on the Internet, like through e-bay.

It's almost to much of a pain in the bellybutton to get them to work to make it worthwhile.  You have to have Win9x, it won't work in Win2K/XP because the programming software is incompatible with Win2k/XP.  If you plan on using pedals, you have to make sure the pedals are USB, otherwise you won't get the dual throttle, stick and pedals to work at once.  If you have all USB gear and intend to use the dual throttle with that, you have to have an extra analog joystick handy so you can use the programming software.

The benefits in AH aren't all that great, it doesn't put you at an advantage over someone using a single throttle but it does make hammerheads a lot easier to pull off.  I switched back to my Pro Throttle after about 3 months with the dual throttle.

The yoke featured in the photo doesnt have a multi engine throttle control.  It's got your basic high performance single, autopilot and PTT switch on the yoke.  Throttle, Prop, Mixture controls from left to right.  i dont know if you would or could map the prop switch to be the right engine on a twin.  just what i see...
