a) That version of Spitfire IX flies in AH?

It is kind of a mish mash. It has elements of both the Spitfire F.MkIX and Spitfire LF.MkIX. Performance wise it is a Spitfire F.MkIX, the earliest and poorest performer. Armament wise it has all of the options that the Spitfire LF.MkIX had.

b) That version of Merlin motor this modeled?

It has a Merlin 61.

Spitfire F.MkIXs were powered by the Merlin 61. Spitfire LF.MkIXs were powered by the Merlin 66. Spitfire HF.MkIXs were powered by the Merlin 70.

I'm not quite sure what the question is.  If it is about a good source for this, try "Spitfire, The History" by Eric B. Morgan and Edward Shacklady, published by Key Books, ISBN # 0-946219-48-6.

They are modeled in the FM, but not graphically.

Sorry, I don't have any really good 109 books.

A) F. Mk. IX
B) Merlin 61
C)  http://www.fourthfightergroup.com/eagles/spit9.html

PS Test data in that report are for 12 psi normal boost and 15 psi WEP boost.  In AH we have 16 psi normal and 18 psi WEP.  I don't know why there is this difference.

Good questions. I have those kind of questions for many other planes.

How about an offline downloadable file (by HTC) with specs of the AH planes (type, version engine, etc, etc)?? Maybe include what has been modelled into the FM and what not.
I think this would accomodate all the people that work behind the scene on validating aircraft performance.

Just an idea,   :)
