Tee-dog
Being Fgumps XO I would not appreciate a member of my
squad harrassing other Knights on text or voice and I will not put up with it!! IF it continues please contact "Vghost" 113TH CO or "T0J0" 113Th XO and we will take whatever steps are appropriate... And likewise if I see him acting tardish I will take care of it... I have to agree we have enough BS going on in the arena and the BB.. Everyone needs to remember we are here to enjoy a game..NOt real life...Just a game!!

StracCop sorry about the part I said "I won't give him any 6 calls" you're right... But I've seen him jump on new guys alot about 6 calls...and it's not the right approach. But Personally I ALWAYS give 6 calls... and I ALWAYS will. One thing to Remember.... THIS IS A GAME!!!!

Plus Knights and the Mongrels can count on me to do my BEST and to have a great attude towards EVERYONE in this game. To be honest this is getting WAY out of hand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST FORGET THE WHOLE THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always chuckle when someone gets pissed that they die because they feel it is my responsibility to be their SA crutch.  Dont like getting killed by someone you didnt see?  Look around a bit.  Use the hatswitch that is on your stick....thats what its there for.  Dont rely on others to baby-sit you and send you a check 6 every other minute.

sling322,

Don't worry mate.
I'll still give you a check-six call.
With that lone-wolf attitude, you'll certainly need it.  :D

I believe I owe FGump and apology.  I think this stems from an attack by 2 Rook CVs on A95 yesterday.  Gump was one of the few Knits running bombers to try to sink those carriers.  It was a very frustrating battle...my hats off to the Rook 5-inch gunners, they were extremely accurate.

I had just arrived at the seen in a Tempy and noticed a spit trailing him and should have sent a check-6, but I figured with all the bogs in the area, he probably knew he was being trailed.  I dove in on the Spit and bagged him just as Gumps lead bomber exploded at wave-top level sending the other two of the box into the sea.

A very frustrated Gump was on the range channel moments later asking where were his 6-calls.

Gump...I should have been safe and sent the check-6.  I sent half a dozen after your admonishment and will send them whether I think the friendly needs it or not from now on.

At first FGump jumped off the handle when he first appeared but after a few of us explained to him how things are, any troubles simply disappeared.  I'll fly on FGump's wing any time.

Recognize that when you are in the MA there are two different games being played. One group of players is all about arcade-style gaming. Quick fun and short engagements are their forte. The other is about conquering territory and capturing bases: a practice that takes coordination, teamwork and persistence. These two forces occassionally come together when both of their objective styles can be met but more frequently than not they don't work together.

I give 6 calls (I think I can be almost annoying in this regard) and appreciate them in return, but all this..."You didn't or you need too or Why didn't you or We must... stuff is getting old, especially on vox.

Sometimes you can't give a 6 because you are directly engaged and don't see the threat, or you give it to the wrong guy, or you assume it would be more distracting since the person is already manuvering against the threat, or there's 20 people around mixing it up and everyone is on everyone's 6. However, someone is having a bad day and get's killed and it's now all your fault.

likewise, I am more than willing to help someone in need of help, but when you see them dive down 5k of alt from safety into 10v1 odds -- well, for me it's a maybe, maybe not kind of thing. I don't like taking 10 minutes flying just to throw it away where my teammate should have know better in the first place. I suppose I could just get on vox, and tell the person how to fly and how not to fly, but that would hardly be an improvement.

It really irritates me when it's like 3 v5 (you being one of the five) and you're on one enemy, and you see someone else on 1, but you don't see the third enemy low on your 6 being chased by 3 friendlies that are clearly in a situation to see he's sneaking up on you. You assume, because no 6 call, that the other guys have him on the defensive, but no, they're using you as bait to get the easy fixated kill. It pisses me off, and I would like to rant. But, frankly it is just a reminder that you can get complacent assuming you'll always get a 6 call. As angry as I am, I know that all I had to do was a few more quick glances backwards and all would have been fine, but I took the luxury of assuming everyting was covered by strangers. They may be tools for setting me up :) but at the end of the day SA is my responsibility.

If there are chutes in the area, I give 6 calls, so folks will turn away and give me a clear shot.
