Ever wonder why when there's a special event there is 90 people in the main arena and only 25 or 30 in the event?  BECAUSE THERE'S NO CENTRAL LOCATION THAT'S LINKED FROM THE MAIN PAGE FOR PEOPLE TO FIND OUT WHAT THE SEA CALENDER IS! As a result most people dont know...even the ones that want to attend cant find a central point where all of the events dates and times are listed.  Burying links, dates, times in ng posts that disappear in 3 days doesnt reach everyone whos interested, not by a long shot.  How the hell can people with lives remember reading a post 2 weeks ago about an SE "oh, yeah, I remember, so and so is having an event today".
We need a central page linked off of the main page that leads to a calender of events....all sea events, not just the one being run by a particular person or squad.

Rant off

One of the things the CM's have mentioned is trying to get some HTC web space. Something like [www.hitechcreations.com/events.htm] was talked about I believe.

Maybe todays confusion will get things rolling in that dierection.

Crash-

There have been sites posted by myself and daddog (among others) that list the coming events. There is a special events forum that is expressly there to inform everyone of coming events. Today's rumble has been placed in at least 3 different places, multiple times. I won't bother to search up all the links, because you can easily find one yourself if you look in the Special Events forum.

The Jokers Low calendar is at  http://www.hpcisp.com/~kieren/calendar/calendar.htm

Daddog's snapshot page is at  http://www.ropescourse.org/snapshot.htm

While it may be a good idea to have a central site linked from the main page, it is not fair to say these events aren't advertised.

CRASH, I couldn't agree more and I can assure you that we're working on it.

But please realize that up until about a week ago, there was not an official CM group. Just a bunch of players voluntering their time.

We are trying our best to get things running in an orderly fashion.

Verm, I applaud your efforts, wish I had some time to help.  As far as I'm concerned Scenario's are what this games all about, the arena's just for practice and can get mighty boring after awhile.
Without player turnout a scenario masters guild isnt gonna last long.  Kinda hard to do a battle of britain or N. Africa scenario with only 25 players.
Kieran, I understand your point, and you guys are doing as good a job advertising your events as can be expected, but the fact is if there are 90 players in the arena and only 25 in your event, there's a problem.  AH staff needs to pick up the ball here and really push these events off of the main page or in the arenas somehow.  Maybe a schedule or banner in the tower on the day an event's taking place? I realize the latter idea's difficult.  Maybe a mass emailing the day or two prior to sign up or the day the events run?  Given some time we could certainly come up with lots of reasonably simple ideas, but the fact is the vast majority of the players dont read the ng's regularly and are not participating, and the one's like me who want to participate are missing events because there's no central calender.

It might help if the "Special Events Forumn" was bumped up from page two to perhaps inbetween the News and General forumns to give it more visibility too.  As it is now it's off screen and there fore out of sight...and perhaps out of the minds of many too?

I must say that the SEA coordinators have done an excellent job getting these things set up. There does need to be some sort of SEA calendar readily available to all AH accounts.

A problem I can see with putting an announcement up (somehow) in the MA is then you have folks jumping into the SEA wanting to know what is going on? All of the events I have been involved in have taken an extra 1/2 hour or so to get going. I don't pay for connection time but some folks do.
