"Udie.. why did you not bother with ROE? I'm stunned. As a ladder pilot I expected honesty from you. Cheap move; that."

I assure you I was nothing but honest.  I was the second pilot dead, if I had flown dishonestly that would not be the case   And I wasn't high at the merge.  I held 15k until the 190's and 51's merged about d5.0 in front of me and berserkr. I saw 51's going vertical before I ever pulled on the stick. By the time Berserkr and I got to the merge the 51's had at leat 1-2k of alt over us.

Berserkr instantly had 5-6 51's on him. I made 1 turn to try and clear his 6 before Jister had my 6 locked up, I was dead 20 seconds later, at which point I logged of angry. Ofcourse I or berserkr have no films to prove this(we both forgot to film), but I bet Jister's would, if he filmed it.

I don't know why your anymore angry than I am/was but there's one thing I can HONESTLY say,

I DON'T CHEAT! never have and never will, I don't stick stir, I don't warp roll I don't do any of that sort of thing.  I may get a bit arogant at times I guess, but that's in fun and usualy to try and get some targets up in the air. But I NEVER CHEAT,  and I realy don't apreciate being accused of it.

Personaly, I'd like to have a rematch of this thing, I hate dying in the first 30 seconds of a BIG fight. Berserkr and myself are available to defend our honor with whomever of the 51's that thinks that we were unfair or unsportsman like.  Just let us know......

Udie

 [edit]

BTW this wasn't written in an agry tone, I'm not mad or anything.  I just don't want you or anybody thinking that I'm a cheater...

Udie you did a wonderful work in the Rumble

Dont feel disgusted, bud, Your actions and BERSERKR's, draged at least 5 P51s down to the tree level where we ended the incredible work you both did.

I can say that the most decisive action in the rumble was that drag. Without it the fight would've been much harder for us.

<S!> Udie and BERSERKR...you both are class acts and form an incredible rotte!

Good work, buds!

All I can add is that I feel without Udie and BERSERKR whole fight could have ended wrong way.

They were the wingman pair I counted most on as backbone of Group 1. They dragged a big portion of P 51s low, setting them for rest of 190s.

Nobody zoomed until we saw higher P 51 above us. After that it was instinctive reaction, at least for me - do not let enemy get above you.

Salute Udie, I was glad to have you with us in The Rumble.

Udie, I don't think you cheat. I doubt anyone that has flown with/against you does. You're just one of the ones that everyone recognizes as "good".  <S>

The problem is this thing has just gotten blown way out of proportion.

It was just a scenario, really. It was the first attempt of it's kind. It didn't go so well from a lot of view points.

Big deal! We can do it better.

It wasn't the "cure for cancer" or "the true meaning of life" or anything...it's just a game. One that gets replayed over and over throughout each and every day.

Hang will chill. This will all blow over.

C'ya up there...but please stay off my 6!

Udie..

My most sincere and humble apologies.. I stepped outta line.

My first post was based on in-flight RW I got from our pilots after the merge. Review of the film makes it clear.. you were not at a higher alt; and in fact you wuz the lowest plane in the LW 2 section; in trail far behind. You were not responsible for the tactics employed and just did what was briefed by your lead. Further; when you noted the presence of an interloper; you immediatly offered to boot the guy.. again it was not your fault or responsibilty.. you saw something wrong and reported it to your section lead.

Further reviews of the film and hristo's boasts just fanned my incense at the rank disregard displayed by hristo's merge tactics for the intent of the ROE intended to produce a clean single group merge of the FW's and ponys.. that it didn't occur is as much if not more my fault than anybodys for not calling a fowled merge the instant it occured. Sorry.

Finally.. I broke my own rules.. 'when truly pissed; lay off the BBS for at least 24 hours so you don't say what you'll regret tomorrow'  and 'Engage the Enemy. Not the keyboards'. Sorry again.

I've always found you and yer wingies to be my most excellent adversiries; and have never witnessed a dishonorable act on your part.. and I knew better... again.. Sorry man. My deepest apologies.. my bad; not yours.

Salute to both you and Berserker.. the two best 190 drivers I've ever seen; in any sim.

Thnx Hangtime

Just so you guys know how much worse this could have gotten (at least for me).  About 30 min after the duel a BAD storm hit. My power was off for about 3 hours, and my ISP was down all night. So I couldn't get to the BBS to read post about the duel.  I didn't even know the LW had won or that Berserkr and I had dragged 1/2 of em down low, until this morning.

I was angry yesterday, so I probobly would have brought alot of gasoline to the other thread, glad I was locked out by the hand of God

Anyway, no hard fealings here. Only thing is I defenately want a rematch   I hate being the 1st person on my team to die.

 Your on the list Jister

Around Houston? Same thing happened to me, my ISP crapped out about an hour after the rumble.

I did film it   I just don't have any space for it right now to post it. I can mail it to ya if need be.

I came --><-- this close to over shooting. I think the kill shot was cockpit because the .50 bb's weren't doing much
