SALUT! to those going to the Middle East.
« on: January 21, 2003, 05:07:44 PM »
Was reading all the press past couple day, the protests, and even talked with one protester about US going to the Middle East says she would not support her son who was going to serve with the US Army. Can you believe that BS!

I know there is a lot of mixed feeling on going to war in Iraq and for myself I am not sure going to war is going to solve any problems.  I see both sides of the fence, one beeing we are just beeing Bullys--which in some ways I agree.  On the other side, it is preventive messures--which I can see.  Nothing is more scarey then a third world country with poor safety measures on handling weapons of mass distruction and beeing a religuous fanatic.

No matter what the opinion on YES we should or NO we should not go to war. WHAT we should be doing is showing our Men and Women serving in the ARmed forces that we are behind them and we support them.. AND..AND we should show the loved ones that they are leaving behind that we CARE for the sacrifices they Fathers, Moms, SOns and daughters are making.

FREEDOM comes with a PRICE TAG.  Seems like a lot of Americans, especially the Protestors have forgotten that.

I SALUT! (S)

God Bless and God Speed to our troops and may they come home soon and safe.

I read about some ex marine that served in the gulf war is now on the way to iraq to act as a human shield around iraqs military. Hes got several thousand others to go with him.  I wish they would go act as a human shield around the toejame muslums in N iraq. Then we could drop the no fly zone and watch as iraqs air force killed them all. They know they are most likely safe from allied military forces as we would go out of our way to avoid hurting them. Or better yet act as a human shield around kuwait before iraq invaded. Or maybe they could act as human shield in the kurd village that iraq used chem weapons on. Its a shame our memory is so short that we cant remember what cut off our hand before we stick the other one in.

I do not want to see war in Iraq or anywhere else in the world.
I am begining to think we should pull all our military back from every toejam hole on this planet and let um kill each other off. All we get is crap about this and that the american people are the most evil this universe have ever seen. I am not evil I do not personally know a single evil person in this country. Screw um let um kill each other. I am sick and tired of our people dieing to protect  people that would just as soon kill us then say thank you.

I say not one more American life not a single one should be spent to protect any country on this rock that does not have United States Of American as its name!

To any allied country out there I am sorry but its time for you to raise your taxes build a military that could protect yourself from the threats that would destroy you.

We liberate kuwait keep saudi safe and how do they repay us. Saudi and kuwaitie hijackers take over planes and crash them into building to kill people going about thier lives. We fight a war in korea spend 30 years protecting it and what happens one traffic accident and they are burning our flag and cursing our name screw um. If we pulled out of korea today the north would invade tomarrow. Bet they would be screaming for us then. Oh please help us please help us screw um screw um all.

Natural selection survival of the fitest stand on your own or die trying. Am I willing to give up oil yes quit my job in the auto industry in a heart beat ride bicycle for transpotaion no problem. Send one American to bleed in the sand of some toejam hole for some bellybutton hole that would spit on you tomarrow NO WAY NEVER AGAIN fight your own whoopeeed wars protect your own diddlying people or fade from the face of the earth.

Of coarse this is just my opinion I could be wrong. Then again maybe I am right.

As for our troops stay safe dont die come back in one piece to a gratefull nation that will allways love you. =S=

P.S. any of you amazinhunks out there planning to spit on our heros returning home a few words of advice DONT LET ME CATCH YOU DOING IT.

Gorf, probably what she meant was that she doesn't support her son going to the Middle East, not that she doesn't support her son who is going to the Middle East. Can't much blame her, parental protective instinct is a pretty powerful force.

Gorf salute bud you got class. I agree that if the protesters want to protest and the whiners want to whine then great but lets not forget we have people in harms way. And this is not Vietnam, these folks ALL volunterred for the job, every damn one of em, and that attests to their character. You can't say that about everyones character in this country anymore.

We are the biggest kid on the block and we are going to be looked at as the bully, but I gaurantee you that if we did not have our troops all over hell and damnation we would be chastized for 'Having other nations boys do our fighting.' It's a no win situation...you soldiers, Marines, Air Force and Navy folk keep your bellybutton down and come home.

God Bless!

One thing we all forgot during the Viet Nam protests was to support the men even as we disagreed with the policy. It is a National shame that young men returning from VN were treated as poorly as they were.

OTOH don't loose sight of the fact that these men are protecting the freedom to dissent.
