Views again again.
« on: January 27, 2003, 08:28:56 AM »
The neverending problem with views.

I'm trying to record a film where I wish to make new views instead of the ones done real-time. More exactly I want to change the snap views I used to calm pan views with zoom, tracking the bogey.

Now, First I thought I could just check the "ignore recorded views" and then directly add the new views with the "capture" function, but when doing this it's only ignoring the the old views in sight, but not in "mind". So when reviewing the film, the views will be a combined view of the two, nothing alike any of the two versions seperately.

Second I tried to capture with the "views" button unmarked, and one of the others "voice" or "text" marked, but this just means it will keep the views originally made. (this makes sense, since it would be a shame if you lost your views, just because you wanted to edit voice)

To get it to work I either had to "capture" views where I changed the views "on top" of the old ones, making it hard to keep the target in sight, because of sudden original view changes, or I had to record .avi with "ignore recorded views" enabled, and then adding the views at the same time of the capture. Neither of the two is ideal, the first making the views erractic, the other requiring me to change the views realtime in one take, with no margin for error.

Isn't there anyway easier to do this?
