Gray, why do you insist we have no night fighters when we have the 110G and the Mosquito, both of which were used as night fighters, with and without radar. For escort and as interceptors.
This is the 2nd TOD night design where we are using Spitfires vs LW day fighters, could we give something else a try some time? I mean, we have already done it.
Btw the BostonIII makes an excellent RAF night fighter too, because it has forward guns, and was used as a night fighter untill 1942.
I would really like to see a night RAF mission with the right types, so far I have seen it done once in a Snapshot in the last 9 months? One time, vs the countless 8th AF events that are done.
Sorry, I just feel strongly about it, not meaning to sound disrespectfull.
Your points are noted, however the Mossie and the 110G both have very powerfull forward guns. How much fun will that be for the bomber pilots? As you can see at least they stand a chance of survival against the planes that are available (110G will be limited).
The mossie is the only plane not included in this TOD so atleast we are getting there.
The other aspect of having a "right" plane set is, will people find it enjoyable? I don't know.
The main problem with night is that no appreciable amount of players want to play night frames. In a TOD a few months ago we had a nearly night frame and the complaints came in thick and fast.
So this TOD will have evening frames that are quite light.
