For TOD CM's information
« on: January 22, 2003, 10:35:44 AM »
Hi all,

Last TOD was not good from my point of view, and from the point of view of many of my squadies. Here is what I did not liked in it:

Number imballance for frame 1. Usually side are ballanced, this frame 2:1 was quite a surprise, because it was never annonced.

Unballanced set. In last frame we were forced to drive m16, m3s and lvts against panzers IV. Because of fixed number of rides, it was no choice, some squad should be forced to drive that. We were destroyed very fast by panzers.

For CM's: I personally dislike TODs which have landgrab and groud war. Reason is that if you make it landgrab, it means that someone will spend his time in C47. Ground war is usually very short, and send those who die to tower in first 10 minutes of frame. Leave landgrab to CAP. Leave ground war to only ground war events. If you want a ground war or field captures, give people who drive gv's or fly c47s another life in fighters.

TOD in my understanding is the event, where we have a chance to have immersion by flying fighters or bombers with our squads, against fighters or bombers of other squads. Landgrab is something I have in MA 24 hours around the clock, there is something else I am looking for in TOD. Again, if you make it extra activity, which adds to immersion, do it. But if you can't, keep it away from TOD pls.

Sure, it is all my IMO.

" I personally dislike TODs which have landgrab and groud war. "

Agree.
If the battle lines change, make it dependent on success/failure of strike/air defense missions.  Or make the changes in battle lines pre-scripted, based on real events.

FWIW I had fun in all the frames of this last Sunday TOD, my first one in almost a year.
